I’ve Made an Etsy Shop!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve finally made an Etsy shop where I will be selling handmade giclée prints of my watercolor and gouache work, and it’s live today! The shop is named Francesca Scala Studio, as I wanted something simple that encompassed more than just watercolor, as I’m hoping to add more products in the future. My first release is four botanical prints, but there will be more coming throughout the year, and possibly some sticker sheets and other goodies as well. You can check it out here: francescascalastudio.etsy.com

I can’t wait to share more of my art journey with all of you!

Upcoming Adventures in Invitations

I have a request to design wedding invitations and ephemera for a wonderful couple getting married at a lovely mansion in Connecticut this summer. Initially, I was sketching out some more Art Deco styles, but I’ve come to find out that the bride is inspired by Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn, not the Teenage Witch) so I’m trying some floral ideas inspired by the iconic dress worn by Audrey.

Trying to remember when it stopped being theory and turned into real life, because theory was a whole lot easier.

You’re the strangest person I ever met, he said & I said you too & we decided we’d know each other a long time.

3 things I’ve learned this week.

1. I’m pretty sure I bleach in the sun, like those stuffed animals left in the back of car windows.

2. I am NOT a seamstress. More specifically, tutus are far more difficult to create than I could have imagined.

3. My cell phone, and really most other electronics, are the bane of my existence and generally stop working in my presence.
